EX BREEDING BITCHES
Puppy Farming or Battery Farmed Dogs, is cruel - there is no other word for it. Puppy farm bitches have a horrific and traumatic time as they are usually bred from every time they have a season. Even if the bitch is ill they still continue to breed from them and don't get them medical treatment. They are treated appallingly just for profit. They live in squalid conditions with little or no human contact. They are kept there until they no longer serve a purpose and are then disposed of. For more information about puppy farms please go to Hope-UK's educational website.
please contact the rescue centre directly (details are given below the dog's information) and not friends. Please let the centre know you saw the dog on our website - thank you!
EMMIE - 7 YEAR OLD FEMALE
Emmie is a very sweet 7 year old ex-breeding Bichon who is looking for her forever home. Emmie is a very quiet little girl and is a bit shell shocked with her move but is trying her hardest and is getting a lot more confident with time. Emmie has been a star here mixing with the other dogs. She will need to live alongside another dog and may need help with walking on her lead and house training.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home
ex-breeding dogs where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the
house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to
canine company. They get their confidence and learn faster with
another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning
how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love,
time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an
only dog it will say so in its write up.

DAISY (ID 1869) & PEARL (ID 144) - 5 YEAR OLD FEMALES
MUST BE REHOMED TOGETHER
15-07-10 Daisy and Pearl are 5 year old ex breeding Bichons who are sadly being rehomed. These two little girls have had a very unsettled time and have had to move homes several times which has caused them some distress. They MUST be homed together as they are like two peas in a pod and joined at the hip. Both have sight in one eye and help each other. Daisy is quite a character and always lets you know if someone comes to the door. She is the leader of the gang and little Pearl follows her everywhere. They sleep together in the same bed and they are inseparable. These two lovely little bichons have settled in really well in their foster home and get on famously with the dogs there. House training is slow – but they are getting there. They are a little nervous on the lead but this is also improving. Really happy, loving and fun, these two little darlings are good with children, other pets and with strangers. We want their next home to be their absolute forever home with owners who will give these girls everything they need and deserve and who will shower them with love, devotion and time.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home
ex-breeding dogs where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the

UMBLES - 7 YEAR OLD FEMALE
13-07-10 Umbles is a very sweet 7 year old ex-breeding Bichon who has been brought to Many Tears to hopefully find her forever home. Umbles is very scared and needs lots of confidence building and be able to learn to trust and enjoy human interaction. This sweet girl may need help with walking on her lead and also house training. She will need to live alongside another doggie companion to keep her company and help her learn. Umbles deserves lots of love and patience in her forever home and is an extra special girl in need of an extra special home.
26-07-10 UPDATE "Umbles is a totally different dog to the shy bichon we collected last Sunday. She has grown in confidence and settled well into the household. Umbles has met our 4 grandchildren aged 5 years to 4 months., she was a little frightened when they were running around but behaved impeccably so it might be better if the children are older. She is housetrained and has had no accidents since arriving with us. In my opinion Umbles could be homed as an only dog to the right person who is at home most of the day as she is at her happiest curled up on your lap on her own for a cuddle. She has just started to walk on a lead and is still quite frightened of the world outside our house and garden so walks are a slow process at the moment. Umbles travels well in the car and loves to curl up on our bed at night to sleep. She will make someone a truly wonderful pet so hurry and put your application in as I don't think she will be around for long."

BENJI & PIPPA - 5-7 YEAR
OLD
Likes and dislikes: Benji was brought into Dogs Trust with his sister Pippa. Unfortunately their beloved owner died and there was no one to look after the lonely pair. Benji and Pippa would love to find a home together as they are the best of friends. Type of home needed: Benji is a playful and confident little boy, however Pippa is timid and shy and will need a quiet adult only home. The pair will take time to adjust to a new home and will need patiet and understanding owners. Bichons require regular grooming and clipping to keep them in good condition. Benji and Pippa love to play chase with each other. They are ok to be left alone for a few hours a day and are both house trained.
These dogs are being looked after by Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre, Woodlands Farm, York Road, Leeds, LS15 4NL Open: 12:00 - 16:00 Closed: Wednesdays Late night opening every Thursday from 15th July until 7pm Tel: 0113 2814920
YOP (ID 2722) - 6
YEAR OLD FEMALE
Yop is an ex breeding female Bichon. Yop has been desperate to make friends with us and is trying so hard to be brave. She will need a home where she can get lots of TLC and learn about things like walking on the lead and of course get the cuddles and fuss she so deserves. Yop will need a home where there is already a dog who will be happy to be her friend and help her learn.
23-06-10 UPDATE Yop has been with us 3 days now she is a very frightened and nervous little girl, she will not let anyone get near enough to stroke her, unless she is in her crate and then she loves her ears rubbed. She is not nervous of our two Shih Tzus but they have been very calm around her. Her toilet training is very good and no accidents in the house. She will need lots of time, patience and TLC to help her adjust. I think when she gets over being nervous she will make someone a lovely companion.
13.07.10 UPDATE Yop is still a very nervous little dog, but she is making some progress, she will walk on a lead although she is scared of traffic and people. She will allow us to stroke her when she is in the security of her crate, and will let me pick her up out of her crate and sit on my lap for a cuddle. Her toilet training is not quite 100% but she is improving. She will be best in a home where there are no young children as she is very frightened of sudden movements and noise. She is a very gentle dog who need lots of TLC.
22.07.10 UPDATE
Yop
arrived with us a week ago, when her previous foster family went on holiday.
It was a very windy day and everything in the garden scared her, from the
chickens ruffling their feathers to the covers on the rabbit and guinea pig
runs blowing. She now loves being out in the garden, takes no notice of hens
or small animals. She is not bothered by my resident dogs, and will happily
join in when they have a mad moment playing chase. We have had no accidents
in the house and she will ask in her own way to go out into the garden. If
she is off the long training lead in the garden she will take a long time to
come back into the house, but will come to her name and take a reward. Yop
is still not too happy being handled but each day sees her relax a bit more,
and she likes being groomed. Yop needs a home with another dog, (large or
small) and a family (maybe with older children) who with patience and tlc
will continue to help her gain her confidence. She is a lovely little dog
with loads of character and will be a great addition to the right family.
While writing this there is a thunderstorm and she is not bothered by it.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home

house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to
canine company. They get their confidence and learn faster with

ESME (ID 2399) - 2 YEAR OLD FEMALE
Esme is an ex-breeding Bichon who is looking for an extra special loving home. She is a very worried and nervous girl, who is desperately in need of some TLC. Esme needs lots of patience and love to try bring her out of her shell. She is only young and has so much in front of her she but will need the extra time and care. Esme tries to walk on her lead but will need some help in gaining confidence and this will come with the help of another gentle and calm dog already living in the home to show her.
13.05.10 UPDATE Esme came to us approx 10 days ago as one really frightened little girl. For the first 3 days she didn't come out of her little den but watched proceedings from a distance. She has come quite along way since then. Esme has learnt to walk on the lead, toilet training is in progress and slowly she is having her faith in humans restored again. She will now take treats from our hands, allow us to stroke her and will sit on your lap and be fussed with our other dogs. She is not worried about household appliances TV, washing machines etc, but is a little wary of the hoover. This little lady is less than 4kgs and is very petite with a beautiful sweet face. Esme is still very much work in progress and will need lots of TLC and help from her new family, who will need time, patience and understanding to help her adjust to her new life and surroundings.
01.06.10 UPDATE We have had Esme for 4 weeks and what a different dog in this short time. Esme now runs about the house and garden with my other dogs, especially her friend Poppy the yorkie. She likes another dog to follow and doing this has helped her to toilet train and walk on the lead as she will follow her friend anywhere. She will let us stroke her and will come up and take treats out of your hand. Esme still needs her confidence to grow but, like her hair, it's growing each day. She has the prettiest cutest face and steals your heart when she looks at you with her big sad eyes. Esme would like a home and family to call her own and anyone considering Esme will still need to work on her confidence and trust and have another dog that could be Esmes new best friend.
16.06.10 UPDATE Esme is now into her seventh week with our family. This beautiful little girl is looking for a kind confident human friend/family who she can put all her trust into. A companion that will love her, and give her the loving home that she deserves. Esme has had a very poor start in life but is beginning to see that life can be so much fun if you have the confidence to enjoy it. Esme answers to her name, walks on her lead with the other dogs, and generally bounces about happy go lucky. Esme does have a problem with being picked up but once in your arms will settle down and relax. She can jump in the car herself and will cuddle up to another dog and go to sleep while you travel. Although she has been following another of our dogs to build up her confidence she has begun to do little things on her own and is very food orientated. She is being trained using treats, she also has begun to understand commands such as no and down. Esme is so ready to go to her new home she is very much a puppy in nature and loves to play with other dogs. Ours is a busy home so is used to different people coming and going which she takes in her stride. Esme doesn't mind older children and she loves both male and female dogs. Esme is young and clever and ready to be trained into someone's special friend she has lots of loves and cuddles to give the right person . If you could love Esme and have the confidence to work with her and give her the chance that she so deserves, she is waiting and ready for her new forever home/family.
01-07-10 UPDATE Esme has come back after just a couple of days with her new family and has adapted back to her foster home with great resilience. Esme is a 2 year old little x breeding bichon who like a naughty child is exploring the boundaries of what she is allowed to do. If checked and her behaviour is corrected she responds. She understands the basic commands of "no" and "down" and will respond when told to do so. We do not call her Esme but she responds well to the name we use. Esme is still work in progress and due to her past experiences is still very unsure when being picked up and is quite vocal when doing so. We are working on this to resolve the issue and have come along way since first she came to use 10 weeks ago.
22-07-10 UPDATE Esme walks on the lead, toilet training is coming along very well and she is generally improving with her trust. She loves other dogs male and female. She needs an adult only home with no children. We are working hard to resolve her issue about being picked up and have come along way since first she came to us 10 weeks ago.
KELCEE (ID 2347) - 4 YEAR OLD FEMALE
Kelcee is a very sweet little girl who is desperate to find someone to care for and love her. Kelcee will need help with walking on her lead and also house training. She is a very happy girl and even more so when in with the other dogs so a home with another dog or dogs is a must. She wags at the other dogs but with humans will need lots of reassurance when been handled and shown what love is all about.
14-05-10 UPDATE Don’t be fooled by the lamb-like appearance
of this girl - she can certainly stand up for herself! She is very timid and
gentle with people and will give you a quick kiss before dashing off into
her bed for a moment before creeping back to you for another quick kiss and
a cuddle. With the smaller dogs she has been quite bossy and does like to
climb on top of them to make sure they know who is top dog, but with the
bigger dogs she chooses to leave them alone - wise decision! She trots
happily on the lead, sneaking in the odd quick nibble of it when she feels
you are not going fast enough and is very good with her food. We can take
it away to add more and she doesn’t mind at all. She will bark if alone at
night, so we think she would be better homed with a larger gently dog (she
is very fond of our Labradors) to guide her. Her house training is slowly
coming along and she’s a far happier in the car preferring to sit up front
with me and although she’s been very good with our children who range from
3-9, we feel it would be better if the children were slightly older in her
new home. To sum her up she’s a lovely, quirky girl with the desire to be
bossy to little dogs so needs the support of a larger, gentle friend in
order to blossom. Could you give her the love she needs?
JU-JU (ID 2341) - 3 YEAR OLD FEMALE
Ju-Ju is a very sweet 3 year old ex-breeding Bichon. Se is a happy girl who would love a home with another dog to socialise with and to help her gain in confidence. Ju-Ju needs lots of love and care and someone who will spend the days with her and reassure her about life and give her the love she needs!
26.04.10 UPDATE Ju-Ju is settling in slowly. She is timid and nervous but she has begun to trust me and welcomes a cuddle, she is still unsure of other people. When going out for a walk initially she would shake with fear and freeze; however Ju-Ju now enjoys her walks and easily covers a couple of miles with several stops for sniffing and taking in the surroundings. Ju-Ju is good with other dogs and cats. Interestingly Ju-Ju is not at all sound sensitive and doesn't react to the washing machine, or vacuum cleaner. She is a little sweetheart and there is a playful side to her nature emerging, which is a joy to see.
17.05.10 UPDATE Ju-Ju is continuing to gain confidence every day. For the first time today she actually ran and jumped around with joy in the fields--just like a lamb! Ju-Ju knows her name and is very good off the lead, never straying far. She will now approach strangers cautiously and occasionally let them stroke her; curiosity gets the better of her fear. Her toilet training is much more reliable but not quite a 100% yet. Ju-Ju settles down every evening for a cuddle and sleeps all through the night. At the moment she can not be left on her own, but will tolerate short periods, with our other dog for company.
17.06.10 UPDATE Ju-Ju is a lovely, gentle dog who is no trouble at all, she continues to slowly gain confidence. She can't deal with sudden and quick movements, and so Ju-Ju would be best rehomed where there are no young children that could startle and frighten her; however she is attracted to children and is keen to approach them. Ju-Ju tolerates car journeys especially when being on a lap to have a cuddle, but she does shake from time to time. Ju-Ju is now house trained. Ju-Ju still favours me and likes to follow me everywhere, but she is becoming more relaxed towards other members of the family.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home

only dog it will say so in its write up.
CARESS (ID 2209) - 6 YEAR
OLD FEMALE
Caress is a six year old female ex breeding Bichon. This lovely girl walks on on the lead and gets on well with the dog she has met here. She is now just waiting patiently for a home to call her own. She will need another dog in her new home to help her grow in confidence.
11.04.10 UPDATE What a difference one week makes. Caress started the week very nervous, very uncertain and very bewildered by the changes in her life. After sleeping for most of the first day, she has, bit by bit, shown her wonderful personality. She is brilliant with our five Yorkshire Terriers but favours the company of her human friends, especially my husband, who she just adores. Caress absolutely loves a cuddle and pushes her body close to yours. She has spent time with my nephews aged 9 and 11 and was very comfortable and loving towards them. She gives the most enthusiastic welcomes in the mornings. Her waggy tail just makes your day. On walks she is brilliant on the lead, doesn't pull and her confidence is growing. Toilet training is progressing nicely and is improving daily. Caress will make someone the most special, loyal and loving companion.
27-05-10 UPDATE Caress has been with us for approx 6 weeks now. She is the most lovely little girl with a gentle nature. She gets on very well with our dogs chickens and rabbit. She just wanders amongst them and does not bat an eye lid. We think she may be a little hard of hearing although she is my no means deaf. We are making progress with her toilet training but she does still have the odd accident. She enjoys her food very much. Her confidence continues to grow and she absolutely loves a cuddle. She is a very special little girl.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home
ex-breeding dogs where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the
house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to

ALLY (ID 2205) - 8 YEAR OLD FEMALE & AJ (ID 2206) - 8 YEAR OLD MALE NEED REHOMING TOGETHER
AJ and Ally are both 8 years old. AJ is an ex-stud dog and Ally is an ex breeding bitch. They are very good friends and when away from each other are very worried. They are going into a foster home to be assessed if they can be homed separately but at the moment we are looking for a home for them together.
I have had the
privilege of looking after and caring for these two very
special little Bichons. They have been with me almost 2 months
and what an amazing time it has been. I have watched them grow
both, in body and in mind. I feel truly honoured to have been
chosen to foster these two little bundles of love and joy and
to let them go will be the hardest thing I have had to do
since I started my fostering days. They are so so sweet and a
complete joy in every sense of the word. AJ is now a bundle of wonderful naughtiness. He is a full time job on his own. It's like he has discovered a wonderful new life and he wants all of it NOW!!!! He will run from one thing to another, playing with the other dogs, running up my legs for his cuddle, never wants to go to sleep least he misses anything at all. On his walk today he ran and ran but I could see him taking everything in but afraid to stop running just in case there might be more for him to see. To witness this life and happiness in this little boy is something I cannot possibly describe.
This is not a tall
order but everything they need. So if you can offer these
then please ask about little AJ and Ally they are simply
gorgeous.
26.06.10 UPDATE These two very special little dogs have been with me for 3 months now. This has been a journey that is most enviable. I have watched them grow in every way possible. They are so very sweet and loving, they are playful and inquisitive, they are, in short the most perfect little Bichons. They need their forever home now as they need their own special person as opposed to having to share with other little dogs. They will fill your life with joy and that I can promise you. Please look at these little ones and please think about offering them a forever home they so much deserve this.
The following dogs have already found their forever homes so please do not contact any of the rescue centres about them - thank you!
FEMALE ADULT
We do not have any further information on this little girl.
DYLAN - 5-7 YEAR OLD MALE
Type of home needed: Dylan is looking for an adult home as he can be a little unsure in new situations and will need lots of time and patience to help him adjust to a new home.
CARIAD - 6 YEAR OLD FEMALE
27-06-10 Cariad (Carrie) is a 6 yr
old ex breeding Bichon who has been returned to Many Tears as her owners said
she would bite out of the blue. We asked one of our experienced fosterers to
take her and assess her and she has been there a week without incident. Cariad has actually settled in very well and seems to thrive on a busy lifestyle. She knows her name, is fully house trained, walks on a lead and sleeps all night. She is living with big and small dogs and is happy to cuddle up with any of them. She is also living with 7 cats and is fine with them all. She loves people and her foster home has teenage boys and younger children who visit and Cariad has been great with all of them. However we would prefer a home where any children are teenagers. Carid needs a home with others dogs and she as seems to enjoy a busy household so she would probably not suit a quiet home.
JAMACIA
(ID 2340) - 3 YEAR OLD FEMALE
Jamacia is a very pretty little girl. She is a very happy girl who would love to live with another dog to help her learn about the ins and outs of life. She is a very sweet girl and loves nothing more than cuddles and love! Jamacia will need help in house training and walking on her lead.
23-04-10 UPDATE Jamaica has been with us for a week now and she is a lovely little character. She has settled in with our 3 other foster dogs very quickly and is picking up toilet training well. She is always happy to hear you and she, like Jellytot, has been given the all clear to have an eye operation in early June.
13-06-10 UPDATE Jellytot & Jamaica had their cataract operations this week and are doing well now they are back at home. They are on several eye drops as well as antibiotics daily, however hate wearing their buster collars! The vet says that the surgery went well for both dogs and although she said that they would have blurry eyesight for a few days, we do believe that Jellytot can see quite well now as she knows when I go to get the eye drops and runs away! Jamaica's cataract was a more difficult operation apparently, however her eyesight seems to be getting better gradually, daily. They are both such happy, friendly girls and I cannot thank everyone enough for donating the funds to make the operations possible for the girls.
JELLYTOT (ID2264) - 7 YEAR OLD
FEMALE
JellyTot is a retired breeding girl who is looking for a loving pet home. JellyTot has got cataracts in both eyes and has very little, if any, sight left. She copes incredibly well and with another dog to help show her around will learn to find her way in a new home. We are hoping for a fosterer to come forward who has another dog and is near an eye specialist who will look at JellyTot's eyes and see if they can be operated on. She is extremely frightened. If you are one of our registered fosterers please get in touch if you think you can help her.
23-04-10 UPDATE Jellytot has been with us for 10 days now and she is coming along very well. She is still very scared but has started to wag her tail and her toilet training is doing very well. We have taken her to an Eye Specialist who says that they can operate on her cataracts so she is booked in for an operation in early June. She is a lovely little dog and does rely on her friend Jamaica quite a bit.

CUDDLES - 4-5 YEAR OLD
MALE
Likes and dislikes: Cuddles can be a little nervous a first and may need a little extra time when meeting new people. Cuddles loves the company of other dogs and has lots of fun playing. Cuddles may benefit from having a doggy friend already present within his new home to help him settle.
Type of home needed: Cuddles would suit a quiet but active adult only home with a bitch already present.
EMMALINE
(ID 2043) - 5 YEAR OLD FEMALE
Emmaline is one of 5 little Bichons who came in yesterday. They were beyond good as they stood and let us shave them of. They are all as sweet as can be, very patient and very amiable. They love the company of each other and we feel will learn to love your company too. They will be happiest if another resident dog could show them the ropes as they have been ex breeding dogs or bitches and never lived in a home walked on a lead, etc so please only apply if you already have a resident calm and gentle dog in the home.
Emmaline is soooo cute & sweet. She has been with us for just 4 days & it's as if she has always been here. She accepted & was accepted straight away by our other 4 dogs & has met all sizes of dogs from a Yorkie to a Rotty & has been great with all. Another doggy friend in her new home is definitely a must as she loves to cuddle up with any of our dogs or with me in the evenings. She is as bright as a button & very inquisitive. A little worried about the vacuum cleaner, but has taken all the other new household sounds in her stride. Her house training is coming on, but doesn't like going out in the rain so then we have an accident. She travels well in the car, loves her food & copes very well seeing she has had 14 teeth out. I can't wait for her to have her stitches out, so that she can have a bath & would love to see her once her coat has regrown. She will look stunning. We adore her & whoever adopts her will be very lucky.
12.04.10 - UPDATE I am amazed that there hasn't been any interest in this lovely little girl. Emmaline has been with us now for 3 weeks and is the sweetest dog anyone could want. She is clean in the house, walks on a halter & lead, follows me everywhere, just loves everyone, especially her new doggy friends and is gorgeous. She would need her new home to have another dog that she could cuddle up with at night, unless of course she could sleep with you. There is not a bad thing I can say about her. I just wish I could adopt her myself, but with 4 others all from Many Tears I am trying to be strong. Come on Bichon lovers here is your new companion for life, you will be delighted with her.
27.04.10 UPDATE Emmaline still here. She's still adorable. She's still looking for her forever home. You're still missing out.
26-05-10 UPDATE Emmaline has sadly been returned to Many Tears after a very short time in her new home. Emmaline LOVES the company of other dogs really does need another dog who is happy for her to be a companion and to be her new best friend who she can cuddle up to. She is also loves her humans and will follow you around wherever you go. Emmaline is house trained but may need a little help with this when she moves into her new home and like many dogs doesn't like having to go out in the rain so may have an accident then! She travels well in the car, loves her food and copes very well seeing she has had 14 teeth out! Emmaline is the sweetest little girl who needs lots of reassuring and confidence building at the moment as she is very confused and upset at finding herself back in kennels.
06-06-10 UPDATE Emmaline
is a lovely little girl but very nervous. Even after a week with us any
sudden movement and she flinches and hides. She is fully house trained and
we have had no accidents even when it has rained although she does not ask
to go out but waits until let out. She has attached herself to me and
follows me everywhere and is always within a couple of feet of me. If I am
not around then she cuddles up to any of my 5 bichons. Emmaline is still
very wary of my husband and son but will let them pick her up now but still
hides behind me when strangers are around. I have not tried Emmaline on a
lead yet as she is so nervous but have had a harness on her to get her used
to it. Emmaline sleeps upstairs on our bed with our other dogs, I have not
heard her bark or howl the only noise she makes is a whine if she cannot see
me. Emmaline needs someone who is around all day and doesn't mind her being
their shadow 24 hours a day. She also needs at least one other dog who will
not mind her snuggling up to them and being their constant companion as
well. Whoever adopts Emmaline will need to understand that she is very
nervous and is going to take time to settle.
EDWINA (ID 2044) - 4 YEAR OLD
FEMALE &
ERROL (ID 2045) - 6 YEAR OLD MALE
Edwina & Errol are two of five little Bichons who came in yesterday.
31-03-10 UPDATE We took Edwina to the ophthalmologist yesterday. Unfortunately there is nothing he can do for her as she has PRA (not something he expected to see in a Bichon) with cataracts – and is virtually blind we think at the moment she is totally blind in dim light and will eventually be totally blind. So Edwina is a little blind dog and is looking for a special person to make her their own. She is very sweet, very good with the other dogs and cats. We are having some problems trying to housetrain her but this will come in time.
Edwina has recently arrived at our house and she has instantly fallen in love with Errol, one of the other fosters we have here. He in return, is besotted with her and we believe that they are possibly related or at least, they were together at one point in their life. They are both doing well with her toilet training and use the newspaper if necessary. Both are fine living with our 7 cats but would be scared of noisy children, I would suggest a home with children over the age of 10yrs. Edwina is such a loving dog and gets around very well even though she is practically blind. Errol is never far from her side and for this reason, we would like to home Edwina & Errol together if at all possible. Edwina isn't keen on being walked on a lead, but she has only been here a couple of days with us so this will come in time.
24.04.10 UPDATE Edwina & Errol are doing so well - they are a delight to foster. They are all but housetrained, walking quite well on their harnesses now and love attention. They are, however, both frightened of children and they will bark at them. They do eventually let the children stroke them on their terms but you can see that they are not at ease with this. They are so dedicated to each other, I feel they MUST be rehomed together. If you are looking for a couple of sweet, well behaved little companions, then these two are the dogs for you!
Errol & Edwina are totally loyal to each other as you can see. They do however remain frightened of young or noisy children and are visibly scared of them. They sleep with some of my 7 cats and are not bothered by them at all. They are the sweetest of dogs who so deserve a home of their own. If you have got the time and patience to give these dogs time to adjust, they will lavish you in kisses and cuddles in return.
ELIZA (ID 2400) - FEMALE
Eliza is a very quirky ex-breeding Bichon, she is a very sweet girl and desperate to call someone her own. Eliza is impressing everyone here with her quirky skills and funny attitude, she will dance and prance in front of you to tell you that she wants all the attention. Eliza will need help with walking on her lead and house training. Eliza will like another dog to keep her company and to help her gain in confidence.
14.05.10 UPDATE Eliza is settling beautifully and ohhhh what a character! Even though its very early days she's already showing that she's sociable, loving, incredibly funny, playful and without a shadow of a doubt will be a fantastic little lady. She thoroughly enjoyed her pamper day and now we're prescribing her weight watchers and an extra dose of TLC. She could go to a home with dog savvy children who can respect her kind nature and unsettled past but she'll definitely need company from another mild mannered pal.
07.06.10 UPDATE Eliza is a sweetheart! She's sociable, loving, funny, playful and such a funny character. She's an easy going little lady with a very big heart and would love to go to a home with dog savvy children who respect her kind nature and unsettled past but she'll definitely need company from another mild mannered pal.
ESTHA (ID 2402) - 5 YEAR OLD
FEMALE
Meet Estha who is sure to impress you. She is a very sweet 5 year old ex-breeding bitch. Estha at first comes across as very nervous and ever so frightened. Initially she is worried about a new situation but once she is given some attention she really does cuddle up to you once you have hold of her. Estha will need help with walking on her lead and also house training and given lots of love and attention to help her gain in confidence.
19.05.10 UPDATE Estha has been with me for 2 weeks when Estha first arrived she wouldn't let you touch her and snapped when I tried to put a lead on her. She only did this as she was frightened. She now walks well on the lead and getting braver by the day. Estha gets on well with the other dogs, cats and children.

Bevan will have his operation this week and will hopefully be ready to go to a home by next weekend, if treatment goes well. KAYLEIGH (ID 2346) - 6 YEAR OLD
FEMALE
Kayleigh is very nervous here at the rescue but amongst the other dogs is shining through so Kayleigh must with homed with another dog or dogs. Kayleigh will need help with house training and also walking on her lead but given time I have no doubt she will come out of her shell and show a lovely personality.
05.05.10 UPDATE Kayleigh is settling into home life with ease, she sleeps well with another dog over night after a few minutes of protesting at being left downstairs, she is delighted to see us in the morning. She is very good with other dogs and cats. She is about the same size as our large cat and very, very sweet. Kayleigh loves company and is very affectionate. Kayleigh has started to learn to walk on a lead and needs some more practice. She is a delightful girl who needs her forever home.
UPDATE Kayleigh is enjoying home life. She is a happy, fun loving, gentle mannered little girl with the nicest disposition. House training is coming along very well. Kayleigh continues to be everyone's friend and loves to part of family life. She likes the company of other dogs and loves people too. When she has fuss she will touch you softly with a paw to ask for more!
CUDDLES (ID 2212) - 5
YEAR OLD FEMALE
Cuddles is a 5yr old ex breeding female Bichon. This very sweet girl was happy to be bathed and groomed. She will need time, love and a confident canine companion to help her learn things such as walking on a lead and the other joys of home life.
11.04.10 UPDATE
Cuddles has been with us for a week and is a very sweet little dog. Cuddles
would really enjoy being with a family or person where someone is at home
most of the time as she really doesn't like to be left and will cry. She is
very affectionate, toilet training is going very well and she enjoys a walk
though is happy for the walks to be short. Cuddles travels well in the car,
is great with children and other dogs. She could be an only dog if not left
for any length of time and would suit a retired person/couple looking for a
little companion. All in all a lovely little girl.
08.05.10 UPDATE Cuddles is still waiting for her forever home but I thought we should tell you how well she is doing at our house. Cuddles is now enjoying walks a lot more, is still improving with house training and is such a loving little dog. She has now met a cat and showed no interest and is still very well behaved with children and a polite little dog when she meets other dogs on a walk. I don't know why she is still here as of the dogs we have fostered she is one of the easiest and easily the most affectionate. Cuddles would be happy as an only dog as she just wants human attention, if you are able to be with her most of the time please consider her, you won't find a more devoted little friend.
BELA (ID 1268) - 2 YEAR OLD
FEMALE
Bella is a 2 year old very sweet Bichon and so eager to please you. She is a very clever girl and does lots of tricks to impress, she knows to sit, down, paw, and also is very good at target training. Bella is so responsive to clicker training and we really feel that she could go a long way. Bella adores those she knows and trusts but does have a fear aggression problem when she is put in a situation she isn’t sure about. Despite this she will happily respond to you reassuring her that her behaviour is not acceptable and will aim to please all the time.
BUTLER
(ID2442) - 1 YEAR OLD MALE

BILLY (ID 2342) - 2 YEAR OLD MALE
Billy is a lovely 2 year old ex-stud Bichon who is looking for his forever home. He is a very special glamorous boy. Billy would love his forever home to have a nice warm fire he can cuddle up in front of. At the moment he is running through the yard and finding the nearest sun bathing spot where he will then lay in the sun. He is a very cheeky chap although does lack in confidence which once he gains will really bring his character out. Billy would need to be homed with another dog to help him and also would need help with house training and walking on his lead.
21.04.10 UPDATE Billy was little bit nervous when he came to us on Sunday but came out if shell within a few hours he loves playing with my other 2 foster dogs He is house trained and sleeps in a crate at night with out any issues He loves to go out for walks on his lead and he loves to play with toys I have also started to train him on how to sit and give the paw which is coming on very well.
GEOFF - 8 WEEK OLD
MALE
Geoff is a handsome 8 week old Bichon who was not sold by his breeder. When we picked Geoff up it was apparent that he may have a respiratory problem. We have had our vet here look at him and check how he is doing. Our vet thinks he may have a slight infection which we are treating with antibiotic's and we except a speedy recovery. At the moment we are are not taking applications for Geoff until we know he is 100%.
17-04-10 UPDATE Geoff is now ready for adoption. He is just adorable - his toilet training is doing well, he loves playing and chasing you around the garden, he will sit by your feet wherever you are sitting.
LOUIE - 7/8 YEAR OLD MALE
Louie is an ex-puppy farm stud dog. He is a very nice boy, has a good temperament and is friendly with all including other dogs. We would prefer a home with another dog and someone who is home all day so Louie can learn how to be a pet dog. He will NOT be homed with children as he is just not used to them, and it isn't fair to introduce them at this time of his life. However, visiting grandchildren would probably be OK in time. Louie would ideally like a nice quiet retirement home as he is a lap dog in training.
MARCH (ID 2128) - 3 YEAR OLD
FEMALE
March is an ex-breeding bitch who is about 3 years old. She is very sweet but quiet and shy and will need the company of another dog to show her the way.
03.04.10 UPDATE March came to me last Saturday. She arrived very nervous and frightened of every single thing. In one week I have watched this little dog grow into a playful and inquisitive little girl. She has started to play with toys and runs around the house with them, tail up in the air full speed ahead. We have had her a few days, along with her foster friend Errol, and she has taken the lead and shown him that he doesn't need to be scared anymore. She loves being brushed and is getting the hang of going outside to the toilet. She does still go on the newspaper if required but never misses. She is more than happy sleeping on the sofa next to somebody or indeed Errol and has been no trouble whatsoever. She will need to go with a resident dog but as she is braver than Errol, she could go with children of any age. If she could go with Errol, that would make her even happier.

Likes and dislikes: Snowy is 6 years old. He is a sensitive little dog who gets very distressed when left.
