The Bichons below are currently looking for their forever homes. If you are seriously interested in rehoming one of these dogs, and have thought very carefully about whether your circumstances are suited to having a dog, then please contact the rescue centre directly (details are given below the dog's information) and not Friends.
Please let the centre you contact know that your saw the dog on our website - thank you!

SPONSORSHIP DOGS If you are not able to own your own Bichon why not sponsor one? You can do this from as little as 50p a week (£26 a year). Please click this link to take you to the Sponsorship Dogs page.
EX BREEDING BITCHES
Puppy Farming or Battery Farmed Dogs, is cruel - there is no other word for it. Puppy farm bitches have a horrific and traumatic time as they are usually bred from every time they have a season. Even if the bitch is ill they still continue to breed from them and don't get them medical treatment. They are treated appallingly just for profit. They live in squalid conditions with little or no human contact. They are kept there until they no longer serve a purpose and are then disposed of. For more information about puppy farms please go to Hope-UK's educational website.
If you do rehome a dog we have featured on our website then please let us know! We'd love to hear how things are going.
YOKO - 9 MONTH OLD FEMALE
Yoko came in to the rescue
with Yen. She is very sweet with people and good with other dogs. We are
also told that she loves children. At this moment in time, we are not sure
whether she and Yen will need to stay together or would be ok with another
small dog for company. Yoko will need to learn about living indoors when she
goes to her new home.
YEN - 18 MONTH OLD FEMALE
Yen
came in to the rescue with Yoko. She is in need of a bath and hair cut.

LOUIE - 7/8 YEAR OLD MALE
Louie is an ex-puppy farm stud dog. He is a very nice boy, has a good temperament and is friendly with all including other dogs. We would prefer a home with another dog and someone who is home all day so Louie can learn how to be a pet dog. He will NOT be homed with children as he is just not used to them, and it isn't fair to introduce them at this time of his life. However, visiting grandchildren would probably be OK in time. Louie would ideally like a nice quiet retirement home as he is a lap dog in training.
This dog is being looked after by Pro Dogs Direct. If you are interested in adopting this dog please contact Tracy. A donation of £150 per dog applies. This helps with the neutering, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments and microchipping where necessary. It is our policy to neuter all dogs on rehoming unless there are medical reasons for not doing so. Puppies are followed up and when old enough their owners are offered help with neutering.
They have a legally binding Adoption Contract which you are asked to read and sign and everything known about the dog will be given to you.
Pro Dogs Direct is there for help and support throughout the dogs life.
ROSEY - 7 YEAR OLD FEMALE
Rosey originally come to us
from a breeder. She is sadly blind and will really need an extra special
owner with another kind and gentle dog to help her. She had lived in a home for
about 8 months but has not yet mastered how to ask to go outside but if you are
diligent and put her outside regularly she will go. She is a beautiful and
gentle dog who has been through a lot and all she needs is a kind person and
doggie friend to love her forever.
This dog is being fostered
in Highbridge, Somerset for
Many Tears
rescue centre.
DAISY (ID 1869) & PEARL (ID 144) - 5 YEAR OLD FEMALES MUST BE REHOMED TOGETHER
Daisy and
Pearl are 5 year Bichons who are sadly being rehomed due to a death in their
owner's family. These two little girls MUST be homed together as they
are like two peas in a pod and are joined at the hip. They are both ex-breeding
Bichons who are partly housed trained but do still have the odd accident in the
house particularly overnight. Both have sight in one eye and help each other.
Daisy is quite a character and always lets you know if someone comes to the
door. She likes to stand on her back legs and does a little dance! She is the
leader of the gang and little Pearl follows her everywhere. They sleep together
in the same bed and they are inseparable. These two girls are adorable and
really need a kind and gentle home where they can be showered in love.
SACHA - 5 YEARS+ FEMALE
Likes and dislikes: Sasha is a gorgeous little girl who needs a very special home. Sasha suffers from tummy trouble and needs ongoing medication and care (Dogs Trust can offer financial help). Her illness can cause her to have accidents so needs an owner who will be home most of the time. She is worried about being touched and is very upset around children so needs a calm, vigilant owner with few visitors. Sasha's model looks will undoubtedly attract a lot of attention but she does need a special, sensible home who will understand that although she looks very cute and cuddly, close contact can make her worried and defensive. She needs time to build up trust in people but once you have earned it, Sasha is a very loving and affectionate little dog. Gets on well with other dogs.
Sascha is being looked after by Dogs Trust Westcalder, Bentyhead, West Calder, EH55 8LE. Open: 12:00 - 16:00 Closed: Tuesday. Tel: 01506 873459
If you are interested in adopting this dog then please complete their questionnaire. If your questionnaire is successful you will need to be home checked. An adoption fee is also payable.

BEACHES - FEMALE - MUST BE REHOMED WITH SUMMER
Beaches is an ex breeding bitch would was no longer needed by the farmer. She is exceptionally friendly and waggy though she has spent her life on the farm apparently.
Beaches has had many litters but is used to being out and about on the farm though not used to walking on a lead, being indoors or being pampered. She and Summer are very best friends so might well need a very special home together. Both are going to a lovely, kind foster home today so further updates will follow.
Both are seeing a groomer shortly as they are in great need of a comforting bath, nail trim and general pampering! Both girls are middle aged, though Beaches is probably slightly younger.
Beaches and Summer have gone to our fabulous foster carer Ken. He looked after little Lola (who had a hole in her heart) for us and found her an amazing home, we are sure he will give these two as much TLC as he did Lola - they are lucky girls!
11/9/09 - Beaches is booked into the vets as she needs dental work , her ears flushed and a hysterectomy as she has a prolapsed womb. - An update will follow
When Summer, the Shih Tzu was
younger she had an
accident and the vet had to remove one of her eyes. She is such a sweet,
timid little girl who is very attached to Beaches. we would like Summer and
Beaches to go to a home together as they have already formed a strong bond.
Please only call if you want to offer them both a home or have other dogs.
Thanks.
Beaches and Summer have gone to our fabulous foster carer Ken. He looked after little Lola for us and found her an amazing home we are sure he will give these two as much TLC as he did Lola - they are lucky girls!
We were told Summer was going to be a Shih Tzu but on arrival and cleaning up we believe she is a Lhaso Apso!
8/10/09 - Well Summer and Beaches are coming on great, from the poorly and very quiet dogs, with no fur after them having to be clipped on arrival due to matted and dirty fur, which showed up sores the vet has spent some time getting them back to healthy dogs, with the exception of Beaches who has emphysema and although she is responding to treatment, she will never be fully better.
They love to be together, they
love to be brushed, Beaches is the lap dog, and needs to be fussed, Summer
likes fuss but on her terms, i.e. when she gets to know you and stroking
only no holding. They are getting on well with strangers due to the help of
my friends down the pub who always make a big fuss of them. They would be
happy with someone who can spend time with them and give them lots of love.
I have found them to be tow lovely little companions. We would really appreciate you putting them both on the site, they are such close friends we simply cannot separate them!
These dogs are being looked after by DogsFriends. Dogs are based North Somerset, Clevedon, Cheddar, Yate, Dorset and Bristol
IRENE - 2½ YEAR OLD FEMALE *UPDATED 14.01.10*
Irene is a an ex breeding Bichon. Irene has no experience of life with people and has only ever lived in a kennel with other dogs. She will need another, settled and happy dog to help her learn how to live her new life sp please only apply for her if you are already a dog owner and have a kind and gentle dog or dogs to help her.
21-12-09 UPDATE Irene was very frightened when she first came into the house and would bark if she couldn't see Isis. She no longer does that and is getting braver every day. When we are going out she is now the first there waiting. She is getting better at walking on the lead and her toilet training is coming along. She gets on well with the other dogs and only interested in the cats if they run.
14-01-10 UPDATE Irene
is a cheeky one and makes me laugh at her antics. She is still a bit timid
but getting better everyday. She plays a lot with my cairn terrier, the 2 of
them just run about mad. She will need another dog to help her.
MOUSEY
- 4 YEAR OLD FEMALE
*RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
Mousey is a ex breeding 4 year
old female and a very happy confident one at that. As I went
to collect her from her crate, I was greeted by a wagging tail
and a very pleased little girl. She then took her time to
explore around and have a real good investigation of where she
had been brought to. I suspect she will get used to home life
very easily but will obviously need house training and
patience. Mousey has a very pleasant and cheeky character, who
appears to get along great with other dogs, and would very
much like a companion to live with and share her life
experience with, together with another dog to be her friend.
Mousey is a very special lady!!
Mousey sadly has tumours and it has been decided to leave them as surgery may encourage them to grow faster. She does not have any pain at all and is as lively as the other dogs. I have watched Mousey closely and can honestly say she is fine in herself. She could have many years ahead of her and wouldn’t it be something if someone were to offer this little girl a forever home for that time.
RASPBERRY - 9 WEEK OLD
MALE (ID 1757)
*RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
Raspberry is a beautiful 9 week
old male puppy with a fused back leg. We have seen several pups like this
and believe he should live a normal, happy and healthy life. He would like
to go to a home with another nice friendly little dog.
IF YOU ARE
INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THIS DOG:
STEEVIE - MALE (ID 1658)
*RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
Steevie is such a sweet little boy. He was born with no eyes so is completely blind. Steevie is an ex-breeding dog and such a lovely dog but is very lost here in kennels. He will need to go to a home with another dog to keep him company. He has happily been bathed, groomed and is now looking extra smart!
16-01-10 UPDATE
Steevie is a very stressed little boy at the
moment and constantly spins if he cannot feel or hear your presence in the
room. At the moment I am carrying him around with me to reassure him and
putting him down for brief periods so he can adjust slowly to living in a
home. He is very affectionate and craves human attention. He absolutely
adores cuddles and human contact which hee needs constantly to reassure him
that everything is fine. He gets on well with the other dogs here and a
home with a least one other dog is a must. He will need a lot of time, love
and patience to help him so please only apply for him if you can fill the
criteria he needs. He is one VERY special boy who needs a dedicated owner(s)
who will shower him with love.
Steevie feels safe now so his stress levels
have all but disappeared. He walks on a lead in his own little fashion and
enjoys a carry in his pet carrier whilst I walk my other dogs. Steevie is a
happy boy who has found that he has a voice and likes to call out to me
sometimes just to remind me that he is there and needs a cuddle. He is cute,
funny and so so gorgeous. Steevie needs a home with at least one other small
dog to keep him company as he likes to bond. He has bonded with my own
little blind Bichon they are always together which is very sweet. He adores
his cuddles and will give kisses freely all day. He needs his person to be
aware of his disability but not to focus on it as Steevie is a normal happy
well adjusted boy and deserves to live life to the full.
It can be daunting adopting a blind dog but
from my own experience I can only say that the blindness fades into the
background as your dog develops their personality and it's this that you
fall in love with. Please consider little Steevie as he really does want his
own family. He has a whole new life to look forward to so please do not
exclude him because of his blindness. I myself forget sometimes as initially
Stevie was spinning non stop so all my attention was focused on helping him
through this difficult period the rest was easy peasy.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home ex-breeding dogs where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. This dog is being fostered in Wrexham for Many Tears rescue centre. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THIS DOG: Please read our adoption procedures before applying and complete the Adoption Form. You will be contacted within 24 hours. If successful you will be home checked and you and all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the new dog. All our dogs are micro-chipped, inoculated and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If you are adopting a puppy you will need to provide details of training classes in your area. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of £160 for dogs at the centre and £170 for dogs in foster care.
TOPSY
A gorgeous little Bichon a real
Bobby Dazzler. Gets on well with all the animals and seems to like people as
well! Looking for a home where there would be understanding and kind
loving
owners.
This dog is being looked after by Happy Dogs Rescue based in Ringwood, Hampshire. Please contact them for further information.
CASPER (4 YEARS OLD MALE) & ABBY (5 YEARS OLD FEMALE) MUST BE HOMED TOGETHER
Casper (Bichon) and Abby (Labrador) have lived together and so we need to see if we can home them together. They are both people dogs who have have been raised in an adult environment and we would prefer them to go to a household with older children.
Casper is happy nestled by your side
on the sofa or curled up with Abby in their bed. He likes chasing cats and so
we don’t think it would be a good idea to let him live with one.
Abby loves playing with anything
that you can throw for her. She is full of energy and would love plenty of
walking or running in the park. She will walk on the lead but only if you let
her know
that you are the leader. So she needs a kind but knowledgeable handler.
She needs consistency as well. She gets on well with other dogs and will happily
greet them and play unless they are aggressive. Then she will run back to mum
for shelter. Abby is terrified of loud bangs and trembles when fireworks go off.
Food is one of her great loves after toys. Her stomach has no off switch. Abby
has been taught to sit and wait until she is told to take her food. Abby has
never shown aggression or possessiveness with anything. Both Abby and Casper love going in the car. Abby is fine on long journeys. Casper does get a bit car sick if the journey is longer than an hour.
These dogs are being looked after by Pro Dogs Direct. If you are interested in adopting this dog please contact Margaret.
We have a legally binding Adoption Contract which you are asked to read and sign and everything known about the dog will be given to you.
Pro Dogs Direct is there for help and support throughout the dogs life.
ISIS - 2½ YEAR OLD FEMALE *UPDATED 14.01.10*
Isis is a Bichon who has been given up by her breeder to find a loving pet home. Isis has never lived in a home with people and will need a time to settle and learn a new way of living. She is good with all dogs and will need one in her new home to show her the way around so please only apply for her if you already have a kind and gentle dog or dogs to help her.
21-12-09 UPDATE Isis is quiet and wants to be friends with everybody. She will snuggle into you for a wee pet. Isis walks really well on the lead and is always right there when the treats are on the go. Gets on well with the other dogs and isn't bothered by the cats.
14-01-10 UPDATE
Isis is a dream to foster - not any
bother at all gets on with everyone. She likes going for her walks in the
park and meeting all the other dogs. I am surprised she has not been adopted
yet.

ETU - 6 YEAR OLD FEMALE
Etu is a sweet 6 year old ex breeding

dogs she has met. She would love a pampering home with other dogs to teach
her the ropes of twisting new owners around her paws and getting loved and
spoilt!
ALMA - FEMALE

Alma is an adorable
little Bichon who has retired as a breeding dog and is now looking to be

BEN - 5 YEAR OLD MALE
*RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
Sadly Ben is up for adoption again. He was having problems with being left on his own and wasn't coping with his toileting as he was living in a flat so he is really looking for a home with another dog and access to a garden.
Ben is about 5 years old and can
be a bit of a grouch. He needs a home where he is not allowed to take
control. He gets on with all the other dogs including some quite
difficult and demanding ones but doesn't like cats. he
gets a little grouchy at times. His owners husband died a few weeks before
Christmas and sad as this is she did admit that she had never really bonded
with Ben in the two years she has had him.
If you are interested in adopting Ben he is being looked after by Friends of the Animals. To adopt from them you will need to complete their Pre-adoption Form. If successful you will by home checked and all the members of your family (including dogs) MUST meet the new dog. All their dogs are neutered/spayed prior to adoption, with the exception of puppies. A condition of the adoption of puppies is that you give an undertaking that they will be neutered at 5/6 months old (at your own expense) AND that they are taken to training classes. In most cases they will arrange a follow up Home Visit after adoption. They ask for a minimum adoption fee of £150.00.
AUDRY & BORIS - MUST BE REHOMED TOGETHER
Two little Bichons neither of them are in the first flush of youth but they are very engaging delightful little dogs, will make excellent companions.
Audrey and Boris were obviously puppy farm dogs. They were in a disgusting state when they arrived but are very loving delightful little dogs and will make ideal companions for a loving understanding human. They will not be split them up, they need to be together. They have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, had dental work done and the dreadful condition of their skin has also been treated and resolved. They cannot be rehomed where there are children and would like perhaps a retired couple or single person to fill their need.
These dogs are being looked after by Happy Dogs Rescue based in Ringwood, Hampshire. Please contact them for further information.

ZION - 3 YEAR OLD FEMALE
*RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
Zion is ever so sweet but nervous and just stood very still with nerves when being groomed. She is looking for a gentle home with a confident dog to help her so please only apply if you already have a kind dog or dogs living in the home.
07-12-09 UPDATE Zion is coming out of her shell and getting braver every day. She has now found her voice and joins in with the other dogs. She gets on well with other dogs and is getting used to the cats. She walks well on the lead and is a right little character.
21-12-09 UPDATE
Zion is half the size of Irene & Isis but has twice the cheek. Zion is
getting better every day and makes me laugh with her antics. She walks well
on the lead until someone comes up behind her - she doesn't like that
at all. Zion definitely needs another dog in the household to help her.
EMILY - 7 YEAR OLD FEMALE
Sadly charming Emily is blind. We will get an eye specialist to see her next week. She is a honey and we would love to help her see again if we can. She will need a home with another dog to help her whether blind or not as she has never lived-in a home before.
UPDATE
Sweetness on four little legs is poor
little Emily. She is totally blind so lives in a world surrounded by
darkness. All my dogs seem to sense that Emily cannot see as they all help
her and all protect her in the best way that they can. She has chosen a bed
in the kitchen for herself which she loves to lie in and cuddle whichever
dog is lying with her. There is sadly nothing that can be done for Emily's
sight so if you're thinking of adopting her please bear in mind that she
will depend on you and your resident dog (dogs) to enable her to have as
normal a life as possible.
Emily has been out on a lead and really
seemed to enjoy her walk. She was very brave and curious about all the new
smells and sounds that surrounded her. She likes the garden but only if I am
with her she becomes very worried if I am not there even if the other dogs
are with her. Emily LOVES to be cuddled and will climb up my leg for a
cuddle. Her tail is always up and waggy which is lovely to see. She uses her
nose to find what she needs especially when it is feeding time. She loves
her food and will get very excited when it is being prepared she will again
climb up my leg asking if it is ready yet!!!!!!
She really is a very special girl with
very special needs so I do ask if you would consider her needs before
applying for her.
EMMA - FEMALE
* RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
Emma is a sweet ex breeding Bichon. She is looking for a loving home to call her own with a confident resident dog to show her the way so please only apply if you already have a resident dog or dogs living in the home who are kind and gentle.
17.11.09 - UPDATE Well this is
pretty little Emma. A friend was kind enough to transport Emma to me on
Sunday afternoon. She arrived at 3.30 a little scared girl who weed on me
through her fear. Within the hour Emma had a waggy tail and a little smile
for everyone. She is so very happy to be here and enjoying all the attention
she positively revels in it. She has made friends with all my dogs but does
love her person to be near her.
Emma is a stunning Bichon with a
little ear that turns itself over which looks so very cute. Emma has
captured the hearts of everyone here especially mine. Emma is not only a
beautiful looking girl she is also intelligent and very willing to please
everyone. She is learning that the garden is a better place to toilet in
than the mat in the living room also her food dish is just for her until she
has eaten it all so relaxing more with her eating routine. She has been out
on her lead this morning for about 20 mins and although fearful she was
extremely curious about everything. She does get alarmed when people
approach so I lifted her gently until they had passed. It is only 30 hrs
since Emma arrived and I felt I should share her with everyone as I would
very much like to see her in her new forever home soon before we become too
attached (again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) but more importantly her to us. It can be difficult for the dogs at this early stage of homing if they have a lengthy stay at the fosterers as they have to readjust when re homed again. She is perfect really she is so come on all you Bichon lovers and fill in the form, who knows it could be you who wins this little star prize.
24.11.09 -
UPDATE Ema is a darling little dog, she has been with me for a week and
in that week has shown me just how adorable she is. Emma is highly
intelligent, she has picked up the routine of the household in a week. She
is vey much a puppy in many ways. She plays like a puppy, turns her head to
one side like a puppy and learns like a puppy. She will sit for her treats
and walks beautifully on a lead after the initial excitement of getting
ready.
Ema is
exceptionally pretty with a beautiful white very curly coat. She loves to be
groomed and actually prances once she is off the grooming table. As a
fosterer for Many Tears I have met many challenges, the biggest challenge of
all is to let the little ones go, Ema is defiantly one of my highest
challenges to date. Each day Ema is with me is another day she has had time
to wriggle into my heart so I am hoping that the perfect family will come
for her very soon. Ema will defiantly need another small dog to play with as she loves to chase and be chased. She still has her nervous moments which is totally understandable but each day this becomes less apparent. She is cheeky and amusing and sometimes naughty, She is a dream dog in every sense of the word. If you have much time to love Ema in the way she deserves to be loved and give her all she needs then please fill in the form for her she really is a beautiful little treasure.
I simply
cannot believe that little Ema is still with me. To say I am shocked is an
understatement. In the 2 weeks that Ema has been with me she has flourished
beyond recognition. She has become even more beautiful and sooooo cute bless
her. Her fear has all but left her she is a confident happy outgoing little
Bichon. She is a fantastic example of the Bichon Frisé breed. Her looks and
character are second to none. She can be graceful when walking on her lead
and even a little stuck up (exactly how a Bichon can be) then next minute
rushing around the house like a dog possessed doing her engaging Bichon
Blitz.
She really
loves Norry and Norry really loves her though not quite as much when she is
hanging off his ears. She is an absolute delight. She has the ability to
make a sad person laugh and to wring every maternal bone in a women's body
with her affectionate little ways. I simply cannot express in words how
lovely Ema is as I feel I have used all the words available to me.
Something's in life we cannot describe as we wish to and Ema is one of
these. She needs her new mummy or daddy or both, she needs to be settled in
her new home as the weeks are flying by and each week that passes is another
week that in Ema's mind she is settling into her new forever home with me as
her new mummy. The wrench will be traumatic if this is ongoing so if you
are thinking of adopting Ema and you feel you can offer her the life she
really deserves then please do not let another week go by. plete the
Adoption Form.
You will be contacted within 24 hours. If successful you will be home

OSCAR - 2 YEAR OLD MALE
* RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
Oscar is currently overweight due to the lack of exercise he was getting and he is looking for a new lovely home where he can get the walks he loves and lose the extra pounds.
Oscar can live with other small dogs as he is being fostered with two other little Bichons .
His foster carer says:
Oscar loves cuddles and lots of fuss and although he has not been walked very often, he is very good on the lead and is extremely good natured when meeting other dogs. He came from a home with children and other dogs. But we are looking for older children.
Oscar doesn't like cats, so would not suit a home with a cat. He is very used to being groomed and loves it!
Oscar is an absolute star and deserves a home where he can be centre of attention and preferably - like all Bichons - not left alone all day.
This dog is being looked after by Pro Dogs Direct. If you are interested in adopting this dog please contact Gladys.
We have a legally binding Adoption Contract which you are asked to read and sign and everything known about the dog will be given to you.
Pro Dogs Direct is there for help and support throughout the dogs life.
ZEBRA - 5 YEAR OLD FEMALE *UPDATE*
This lovely girl is looking for a quiet gentle home where she can find her feet as she is a nervous girl. She will need a resident dog to help her with this so please only apply for Zebra if you are already a dog owner.
07-12-09 UPDATE Zebra the
bravest of my foster dogs and is a big softie. She gets on well with the
other dogs and is really good with the cats. Walks brilliant on the lead, I
feel she must have been someone's pet before. She just wants to be everybody
friend.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home ex-breeding dogs where
there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have
usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company.
They get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from.
This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They
will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the
ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in
its write up. ny Tears Animal Rescue

where she is happily living with an older child and plays with the other
foster dog and puppy. She is vocal in the home but will be quiet when told. ![]() Please read our adoption procedures before applying and complete the Adoption Form. BRIGHT EYES - 6/7 YEAR OLD
FEMALE
*
RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
26-09-09 Bright Eyes is a 6-7 year old ex breeding bitch. She is a really lovely, gentle lady, who loves other dogs and will make friends quickly. She will need an existing dog in a new home to help her settle so please only apply for her if you already have a dog living in the home who is kind, gentle and friendly.
20.10.09
UPDATE Bright Eyes is one of the sweetest most gentle little dogs I have
ever met. She is so easy to foster she gets on well with my other dogs, is
fully housetrained, walks well on the lead, but can be a bit nervous if
someone approaches too quickly but this is getting better. Bright Eyes is
fine with older children but I think she would prefer a quiet home with an
older person or couple, and another little dog for company. We have left her
for up to 3 hours with my dogs and she is fine. So if you would like a
gentle loving little lap dog come and meet her you will fall in love with
her. ning and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make
lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding
dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up.This is a Many Tears Animal Rescue Centre dog who is being fostered in Swindon, Wiltshire.

PEARL - 4 YEAR OLD FEMALE
*
RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
18-09-09 Pearl is a lovely 4 year old Bichon.
She is an ex breeding bitch who was given to us to find a loving home for.
Pearl used to be a happy bouncy friendly lady but sadly is quiet now. Slowly
her eyes have gone blind. We can see the cataract and are so hoping that
with surgery she could have her site back. We are hoping to find a foster
home in Bristol that would drive her to and from the eye specialist in the
Bristol area but first we will need to spay her. ogs where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in

CARLA - 8 YEAR OLD FEMALE
* RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
19-10-09 This is possibly the saddest little face I have ever seen - it reminds mind of Dobby in Harry Potter (MT's opinion not FBFR's!!!). Carla has been a breeding bitch all her life. She is 8 years old and overdue the comfort of a sofa and a warm lap to snuggle on. She will need a another dog to live with, as that is all she really understands. Given time she will be a fantastic girl but please only apply if you have at least one other gentle dog to be her friend and help her.
29.10.09 UPDATE On Sunday evening I received a special delivery - a little tiny Bichon named Carla. She arrived all nervous and worried about everything. Within the hour Carla had explored the whole house and the garden. Her curiosity overrode her fears. She was introduced gently to my little pack which includes 4 Bichons. Carla accepted them and they her in a calm gentle fashion. She learned very quickly that she was safe and I was a kind person who would not harm her hence she followed me around until bed time. I lay her on my bed and there she curled up and watched television for a while then fell into a deep contented sleep. Carla slept through the night without a single peep.

MELANIE - 7 YEAR OLD FEMALE
* RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
15-01-09 Melanie is extremely
sweet. She is an ex breeding girlie who is 7 years
old. Today she will be having a dental as her teeth need some attention and
she will spayed at the same time. After that she will be looking for her
forever loving home. We would like Melanie to have the company of a forward
going dog as that is what she understands most. She will be the most sweet
loving little girl given time.
29.10.09 UPDATE We picked
Melanie up on Sunday and before we even got home was giving me kisses. She's
absolutely perfect in every way, loves dogs, nice kids, cats and her tail
hasn't stopped wagging and she's house and lead trained. At the moment she's
chewing on a big pigs ear which she loves. Melanie is 10 inches to her
shoulder and has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen, she will also take
food from your hand. Melanie must be one of the very rare ex breeding dogs
that has either lived in the home or was allowed in and out of one as
nothing bothers her. I really can't praise her enough. She loved having her
little devil costume on and sat there posing with my four in theirs. Melanie
has been a joy to foster and another little un that's going to take a piece
of my heart with her.

Viera is quite a brave little girl but is still unsure about me coming towards her and will either stop still or scuttle off but a little coaxing and she's back especially if I make a fuss of my dogs as she's very inquisitive and does like to join in with them. She needs another little happy friendly dog to help her on her way. Amazingly she is completely clean in the house and has been since day 1. Viera has quite a lot of staining on her legs but once grown out will be an absolute beauty, she loves all of my dogs and will cuddle up to any of them and can see her being the same with cats. 21.10.09 UPDATE Dear
little Viera has been with us for 11 days and I'm surprised she hasn't had
interest. she is great on the lead, completely housetrained and gets braver
by the day. We took her to Barry Island to the beach on Sunday and she
thoroughly enjoyed it. She did have a little car sickness on the way there
but was fine on the way back. We met up with 2 of my ex foster dogs and
their mums and dads and altogether there were 6 adults and 10 dogs and she
took it all in her stride and enjoyed meeting all. Don't let her being blind

PIPPIN - 9 WEEK OLD MALE
(UPDATED 26.09.09)
* RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK
15-09-09 Pippin is a 9 week pup. He has one fused hind leg that does not bend. He manages fine with this at the moment. We have had other Bichons with this same problem and no vet has ever wanted or been able to operate and help this. He will not be insurable for this particular problem but should be fine for everything else. However, be sure if adopting him you can support him forever. He is divine as you can imagine.
22-09-09 UPDATE Tiny Pippin is adorable to say the least. He is soooooooooooooooo gorgeous and sweet. I arrived home with Pippin yesterday afternoon. He travelled all the way home as quiet as a little mouse all snuggled up as happy as any puppy could be. I popped him into the garden in which he toileted straight away. He met all my little dogs with a noisy hello and ran around their ankles until he felt he had introduced himself properly.
26.09.09 UPDATE Well, what can I say about this little white bundle of fur and fun. He is a "must have, simply can't do without little puppy" Pippin is cuddly, funny, playful and beautiful. What else is there? Pippin is basically house trained, he sleeps all through the night and tells me when he needs to go out in the morning. Little Norry is totally enjoying having Pippin to stay as they play all day together, even though Pippin's idea of playing is hanging off his tail and his ears!!!!!!!!!!!!
